Extensive collection of photographs, silver gelatin prints,
predominately 8 by 10 inches, occasionally with photographer's credit
stamped on verso of Robert W. Cottrol; Robert L. Haggins; Mallory; Lloyd
Yearwood; Purefoy; and Howard L. Bingham, organized within manilla
folders, many with notation in the hand of Malcolm X, some photos with
sizing marks mainly on verso, some occasional wear, though most photos
in very good condition. * Also included are a large collection of
negatives and a collection of contact proofs, some of the proofs have
oxidized, the negatives appear fine.
An interesting collection
of Malcolm X's personal press photographs that covers much of Malcolm
X's mission with the Nation of Islam including numerous speaches,
rallies and debates, media appearances, the Ronald X Stokes episode, his
meeting with Fidel Castro, a photo shoot with Cassius Clay, images with
his family, NOI schools and businesses.

be the bid presented to the clerk on the auction house floor. In any
auction there may be live in-person bids, phone bids, or other absentee
bids presented to the Auctioneer for the same item. It is within the
Auctioneer's discretion and authority to acknowledge one bid instead of
another submitted for the same amount.
